Linda Schachter

Dr Linda Schachter, Medical Director of Sleep Services Australia, has been a sleep and respiratory specialist for 16 years with an interest in the diagnosis and treatment of all sleep disorders. Linda has a long-term research interest in the effects of obesity on sleep apnoea, lung function, asthma and the effects of weight-loss on these conditions. Linda has just finishing a trial in conjunction with Monash University, the Alfred hospital and Baker IDI looking at surgical vs medical weight loss in obese patients with severe obstructive sleep apnoea. Current ongoing trials include looking at causes of hypertension in obesity and changes with weight loss. She is a member of the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand, Australasian Sleep Association, American Sleep Association, American Thoracic Society and the Obesity Society of Australia and New Zealand.

A Prof Michael Stubbs

Michael Stubbs

Associate Professor Michael Stubbs has trained as a dentist and then specialised in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with facial or jaw pain that is not derived from the teeth. Assoc. Stubbs also diagnoses and manages any disorder or disease involving the mouth or jaws and sleep apnoea/snoring disorders with the use of custom made dental devices.

Joel Simpson

Joel has worked with patients with sleep disordered breathing for over 10 years across multiple disciplines. Joel specifically has worked in a market leading sleep diagnostic and treatment business for 5 years and in the technology and medical device sector of sleep apnea for 5 years. Joel has trained and advised multiple companies and clinics in building effective sleep apnea treatment brands. He has a wealth of experience in business development and sales processes in developing sleep businesses and is passionate about assisting companies achieve great success in the field.

Dr Eric Lye Kok Weng

Dr Eric Lye Kok Weng

Dr Eric Lye Kok Weng is a Specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He graduated from Dentistry, National University of Singapore in 1998 with several awards, including being on the Dean’s Lists and University medal for being first in examination in the graduating year. He then went on to complete his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery specialization in 2003.

He was selected for Ministry of Health’s Health manpower Development Programme award, and underwent fellowship training in the management of obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2006. He was accorded his PhD in 2011 by the Radboud University of Nijmegen, Netherlands for his work in Biomaterials. He was involved in all aspects of OMS work and was promoted to Senior Consultant by 2014 and had taken on several leadership positions including Associate Director of the OMS residency programme.

He has published more than 15 articles in peer-reviewed journals and given more than 100 lectures both locally and internationally. He currently works at Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre and is a visiting senior consultant to National Dental Centre Singapore, Changi General Hospital, Singapore (ENT & Sleep unit) and Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Singapore.

His special interests are in the field of Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Facial aesthetics procedures, TMJ surgery, 3D orthognathic surgery planning and Surgery First Approach in orthognathic surgery.

Dr Kenneth Oo

DR Kenneth Oo

DR Kenneth Oo graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore and attained his Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2002. He completed his Masters of Medicine and is an
accredited specialist in Otolaryngology (ENT). Dr Oo holds a Masters in Science in research.

Dr Oo has extensive international training, having trained at different world class centres. He underwent a clinical fellowship in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery with the Department of Otolaryngology, St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Australia, another fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery with the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, University of
Virginia, United States of America and finally a visiting fellowship in Rhinoplasty at the Seoul National University Hospital in South Korea. He was the first Singaporean to be trained in Facial Plastic Surgery and Reconstruction under the HMDP(Higher Manpower Development Plan) Program and is a pioneer in this field in Singapore.

Dr Oo was previously Consultant ENT Head & Neck Surgeon at Tan Tock Seng Hospital where he was a key member of the Facial Plastic and Reconstructive team as well as the laryngology team where he was running the Voice Clinic.

Since 2012, Dr Oo has been a consultant ENT surgeon in private practice at Mount Elizabeth Hospital. He manages both adult and paediatric ENT conditions. His current practice is a multi-subspecialty ENT practice housed in the largest ENT centre in Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Dr Oo is a fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore, Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, country representative of the Asian Facial Plastic Surgery Society and board member of Singapore’s facial plastic surgery committee. He is regularly invited as a speaker to international conferences and courses and he is the course director for the Facial plastic course at the Singapore General Hospital which trains many regional surgeons in the field of facial plastic surgery and rhinoplasty. He actively mentors residents through lectures and supervising them during surgery at the Singapore General
hospital where he has been a Visiting Consultant for the last 9 years.
